Texas Services Network
The Texas Services Network is a rural I&R service of the 30 county area in the Permian Basin and Concho Valley of Texas. They offer community outreach and individual assistance for those applying for government programs under HHSC: Medicaid, Food Stamps, Temporary Aid for Needy Families, CHIP, Long Term Care, Women's Health, and CHIP Prenatal. They travel in the 30 counties to provide program brochures and applications and they provide program eligibility training for those agencies that enroll clients into these programs. They also attend health fairs and schools to assist those interested in applying for any of the programs.
Partnership for Quality Medical Donations
PQMD, a membership organization of NGOs and pharmaceutical and medical supply manufacturers, has now deployed VisionLink technology to better coordinate more than $4.2 billion dollars in annual donations to more than 150 nations around the world. VisionLink's solution allows the members of PQMD to share their work with the public, to conduct their own internal work privately, and to collaborate with member partners as they jointly address critical needs around the globe.
CAN Expands to 380 Partner Organizations
The Coordinated Assistance Network continues to expand across the United States. Now more than 380 partner agencies belong to the nation's first multi-agency, multi-jurisdiction disaster relief network.
Long Island Middle Country Library, Long Island United Way
The Long Island Middle Country Library in New York, along with the Long Island United Way are the most recent VisionLink customers. In partnership with New York 2-1-1, they will be continuing their long-standing committment to community outreach and resource information services. Now they are simply doing so with better technology!
Colorado Springs Concludes Successful HMIS Mass Entry Pilot
HMIS leadership in Colorado Springs, along with local agencies, STC, and VisionLink have successfully concluded a data mass entry pilot. STC and VisionLink will now integrate their solutions so that data can be easily captured and managed with nothing but intelligent bar code scanners. This will greatly improve data collection and management for HIMS providers working with large numbers of clients.
New York State Abuse & Gambling Hot Line
The Mental Health Association of New York City, a private, not-for-profit organization that works to change attitudes about mental illness, improve services, and promote community-wide mental health, is using Tapestry to fulfill a new multi-year state contract for abuse and gambling hot line servcies. VisionLink is providing not only the call intake solution, but the ongoing, two-way data feed with New York state information services.
Red Cross & FEMA Disaster Shelter Standard
VisionLink is pleased to have been selected to build a new data exchange standard focused on disaster shelter information. This work, currently under way, will allow the American Red Cross, FEMA, and other organizations using real-time disaster shelter information to share this critical information about facilities, availability, and capacity.
Hudson Valley United Way 2-1-1
Serving as a primary hub of the New York State 2-1-1 system, the Hudson Valley United Way is launching with Tapestry, bringing a new level of efficiency to their staff, and a new level of service to their community. They are already in conversations with other possible partner agencies who may deploy Tapestry portals. By using Tapestry portals they can consolidate technology--and save money, and yet provide completely customized online information to their stakeholders.
SeniorCheck: State of South Carolina, Lt. Governor's Office
The State of South Carolina, Lt. Governors Office, a long-time VisionLink customer, is launching a new Senior Checked service, which assures aging adults that the resources in Tapestry have been professionally vettted to protect against fraud and abuse, and to ensure high levels of quality service. SeniorCheck will be presenting the need for vetting resources in public resource directories at the AIRS conference.
New Mexico Teacher Licensure Goes Year Round
With the passage of revised enabling legislation, New Mexico's online teacher licensing sysem is going full time. Rather than operating for several defined submission periods during the year, teachers in New Mexico will be able to have their licenses and credentials reviewed nearly year round. Building on VisionLink's educational experience, this innovative approach links instructional licensing to real-world evidence of teacher and student work. Teachers submit dossiers of their classroom instruction and samples of their students' work. Dossiers are reviewed and scored by professionally trained educators.
